The Sunsetters Project is a fiction produced by Blind Man's Book (Jordan Dooling and Lindsay Taylor) in collaboration with various artists. Sunsetters is a band only in the fiction, and in the real world this music is produced by Blind Man's Book. Blind Man's Book claims no ownership over the name "Sunsetters", in connection with music or otherwise. Any similarity with other bands, fictional or otherwise, is coincidental, and the music is not intended to be confused with any other band.
The music for the Project is composed in MuseScore, which is open-source. LMMS and Audacity were used for additional sound editing on certain songs. The primary soundfont used in Sunsetters music is the default MuseScore soundfont (specifically version 3), which is open-source. No Entry uses, in addition, the soundfont Mellotron.sf2, which is open-source, and the soundfont Megalovania_Bass_Guitar.sf2, which is made up of sounds from Shreddage X, for which Jordan owns a proprietary license to use in this purpose. Railroad to Metropolis features the voice of paperchamomiles, used with permission for this purpose. Any other voices in the Project are that of Jordan. Railroad to Metropolis also uses train SFX by Alex_Jauk, used under Creative Commons. Ancestor makes use of Wind and Waves SFX which are both by Pixabay, used under Creative Commons.
The visual art for the Project is produced in various image processing software, including Paint Tool SAI and GIMP. The Mythology of Empathy front cover is by Quentin Stickley. The Mythology of Empathy back cover is by Jordan. The Summer Sucks front cover features the art of Cadet, Odilon Redon, and Arnold Böcklin, edited in collage by Jordan. The Summer Sucks Yggdrasil art is by Quentin Stickley. The We Excavate front cover is by Jordan, featuring the art of Odilon Redon. The We Excavate back cover is by Cadet. The video content for the Project (the "lyric videos") is produced in kdenlive and VEGAS Pro 15 by Jordan. The videos make use of the front covers listed above, and the lyrics listed above, and are posted on YouTube under a Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution license.
The Website for the Sunsetters Project is written and designed by Jordan, except where it is used to explicitly present the material listed above.
The Sunsetters Project (the music content, the visual art content, the lyrical content, the video content, and the Website) is published under a Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution license. You are free to consume, download, reupload, copy, edit, broadcast, perform, and even potentially monetize, the content.
